The OptiMate PRO-S automatic charging system is controlled by TecMate's highly advanced and unique ampmatic™ microprocessor. This automatically adjusts the charge current continually to an optimum level for the individual battery to which it is connected, within the selected limit, according to the battery's state of charge, state of health, and electrical storage capacity (Amp-hours). For example if the current erroneously selected is 4 Amps for a battery of only 4 Amp-hours rated capacity (and without internal short-circuit), the ampmatic™ microprocessor will automatically and continually re-adjust the current to whichever lower level is optimal for the battery's electrical characteristics.

Output selections : NEW / 2 / 4 Amps :-

The NEW selection is specifically designed for the vital very first commissioning charging of new AGM MF powersports batteries, as well as more conventional batteries. Selecting NEW bypasses the special recovery mode stages, and the programme directly engages the charging, pulsed absorption and charge verification stages which are limited to a total 60 minutes.

For charging of batteries other than brand new batteries, the selection table on the charger indicates appropriate 2 Amp & 4 Amp selections, governed by the ampmatic mircoprocessor, which automatically achieves the most time-efficient optimal charge for any connected battery.
